The Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr Kabir Yusuf Mohammed today, Monday, July 31, laid the foundation for the development of an Aviation Cargo Village.
The AviaCargo village located on Ajao road, Airport road, Ikeja on a 2.7 hectares of land would be a one stop shop for all Cargo related Air Trasnsport matters upon completion.
The Managing Director laid the foundation of the project along with the Director, Airport Operations, Muktar Yusuf Muye, Director, Commercial and Business Development, Femi-Pearce Olumuyiwa and Chairman FAAN Aviation Cargo Committee Ikechi Uko.
The Aviation Cargo Village is part of the mandate of the FAAN Aviation Cargo Committee set up to improve Nigeria’s AviaCargo ranking in Africa.
The Aviation Cargo Village is expected to handle processing and packaging of Cargo Items, documentation and will also have laboratory facilities. All of these are to help ease movement of Cargo in Nigeria.
