Group Capt. Usman Abubakar Sadiq (Rtd)

Group Captain, Usman Abubakar Sadiq (Rtd), an experienced administrator, a seasoned intelligence technocrat with versatile knowledge in military operations, is the newly appointed Director of Security Services (DSS) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN. Prior to his appointment with the Authority, he consulted and facilitated for NSA’s DERAD programme as Camp Administrator, at the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, between March and November, 2015. He also worked at the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) for several years and rose to the position of Assistant Director, Security.

A Fellow of the National Defence College (fdc), Abuja, Usman Abubakar Sadiq holds an MSc. In Strategic Studies of the University of Ibadan. He graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1984 and started his military carrier as Admin Officer 335 BSG Kaduna in 1985. By the year 2001, he had risen to the position of Group Intelligence Officer 330 NAF Abuja. In the year 2010, he was made the Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force School of Air Intelligence, NAFSAINT, Makurdi. A position he held till 2012. During the course of his career, Usman Abubakar Sadiq was exposed to several training programmes both locally and internationally.

His training exposure includes: Young Officers Course-YOC Air Defence NASA Kachia in 1989; Armed Forces Command & Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji Kaduna; Certificate and Diploma in Diploma Strategic Intelligence and Analysis, Bolling AFB Washington DC,USA -1993; Counter Terrorism Management Course, International Security Academy Hetzliya Isreal-2006, among several others.
