Engr. Ali, Ali Maina, a seasoned aerodrome Engineer has enjoyed an interesting and varied career as a Civil Engineer in different facets of government employment.
Engr. Ali, Ali Maina retired from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as General Manager Aerodrome Standards after a career of 18years in Aerodrome Engineering.
Engr. Maina started his career with Borno State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, Maidugiri, after his National Youth Service Corp in 1987 having graduated from the Kaduna Polytechnic.
He got his Bachelors of Engineering (Civil) Degree from University of Maidugiri in 1992 and continued with the Yobe State Ministry of Works and Transport Damaturu after the state creation from Bornu State where he served from 1992 -2001. He rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Civil Engineer at the Ministry before he left for the aviation industry in 2001.
Over the years in his career in the aviation industry, Engr. Maina has acquired training from around the globe; Singapore, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, United States of America, Egypt and so on in Airport Systems and Planning, Aerodrome Master Planning, Airport Maintenance, Airport Design and Construction, Aerodrome Audit, Airport Certification, Airports Operations, Runway Incursion Evaluation information, Environmental Planning and Implementation, Airport Operational Safety , Safety Management Systems, Aeronautical Studies and Risk Assessment and so on. He also holds a certificate in Airport Engineering of the Singapore Aviation Academy, Singapore
